Case Closed or what we all know as Detective Conan is probably one of the most fascinating anime series of all time and not to mention, still ongoing which also makes Case Closed one of the longest anime series of all time as well. It started all the way back in the year 1996, during all this time Case Closed has released a total of 995 episodes so far, with many more awesome ones to come in the near future, hopefully.
Now if we talk about the filler episodes, it wouldn’t come to you as a surprise that Case Closed has one of the highest percentages of fillers for any anime series, so far it has a total of 428 filler episodes which makes it around 43% of the whole anime series, insane right?
What is “Case Closed”?
The series revolves around the story of a young detective, Jimmy Kudo (Shinichi Kudo) who has some exceptional detective skills that make him stand out from others and even the police use his help in their cases but one day, a powerful criminal organization called “Black Organization” kidnaps him and forces him to drink a deadly poison but instead of killing him, the poison turns him into a child.
This gives Jimmy a chance to go into hiding with this new identity that he has acquired and names himself Conan Edogawa but even after this near-death incident, Jimmy decides to continue his investigation on the Black Organization. Now with this new identity, he goes to live with his friend Rachel whose father happens to be a detective, and Conan would often join him in his investigations and helps him without him actually knowing.
Jimmy also forms a detective club thing with his friends in the local school and works his way through his investigation about the Black Organization and later he meets Anita Hailey who used to work for the Black Organization and she was the one who created the poison in the first place but it also turned her into a child which is why she’s here in the school to help them and join their detective club as she now has nothing to do with the Organization.
Quick Episode List:
Is Case Closed Worth Watching in 2021?
Well heck yes! it is, you might be wondering that Case Closed is too old and probably not worth watching in 2021 as it started in 1996 but that’s not the case here, the fact that it is still an ongoing series after all these years says a lot about the anime itself, else why would they be making more episodes right?
But as far as the filler episodes in the anime series are concerned, people have different opinions about whether or not one should watch them as most anime lovers want to avoid the fillers and stick to the original manga storyline while others would go for the fillers as well. So, it is totally up to you but either way, we have got you covered with our episode lists including all the canons and fillers that you can decide for yourself, which ones to go for.
