Dragon Ball Super is another amazing sequel of the original Dragon Ball Manga by the legendary writer Akira Toriyama, produced by Toei Animation and aired on Fuji TV from July 2015 to March 2018.
Dragon Ball Super picks up the story from where it was left off in the previous series and recaps some of the important events from the “Battle of Gods” and “Resurrection F” series which leads Goku to unleash the powers of a god.
After the defeat of Majin Buu, it has been half a year and everything looks so peaceful and both Goku and his son Gohan start farming on their farms. But it eventually makes Goku bored of it and he just wants to explore and fight more powerful enemies from other universes. And apparently, his wishes are about to become a reality as one of the most fierce enemies in all universes, Beerus AKA god of destruction is aiming towards earth to fight the legendary Saiyan mentioned in the old prophecies and finish him once and for all.
Upon confronting Beerus, Goku realizes that he needs more time to evolve into Super Saiyan God and even when he achieves it, Beerus manages to defeat Goku and heads back to his planet. But that’s not only things Goku has to worry about as Frieza has been revived and reaches earth with a large army to destroy the planet. Goku and Vegeta confront Frieza but they both fail to stop Frieza from destroying the Earth but luckily, Goku and others survive the attack and Whis manages to alter the timeline and sends Goku to the time before Frieza destroys the Earth, again.
Final Thoughts about Dragon Ball Super
As a Dragon Ball Fan, I must say Dragon Ball Super is one of the most exciting and action-packed anime series of all time with fierce enemies and epic fight scenes. And the fact that it was written and edited by different writers based on the original plot outline by Akira Toriyama makes it more unpredictable than the other ones.
