What is “Inuyasha”?
It all starts with Kagome Higurashi, a young girl living with her parents and grandparents in their shrine, who one day when walking around the shrine finds herself near a well from which a centipede demon emerges and takes her down into the well, and the next thing she knows, she is in a parallel universe set in the ancient Sengoku period where she is now reincarnated into her past self Kikyo, the guardian of the most powerful artifact “Shikon jewel”.
She meets Inuyasha, a half-demon dog who tries to steal the artifact for himself but kikyo keeps him in control through a magical spell that pushes him to the ground. However, another crow demon manages to get the artifact but Kikyo kills the demon with an arrow which also hits the jewel breaking it into pieces which get scattered all across the country, and now Kikyo has no choice but to get the pieces back together before any evil demon gets his hands on them.
Inuyasha decides to help her in getting back the pieces and protecting her from any threats from the other demons after he gets a powerful sword, Tessaiga from his father. Kagome later realizes that she and Inuyasha used to lovers in the other life but the memories as to why they ended up like this were not clear but later on it becomes clear that Inuyasha was imprisoned and Kikyo was dead because of an evil spider demon called Naraku, who seeks the magical Shikon Jewel for himself and now that it is shredded into pieces, he orders other demons to find all the pieces for him and manages to get most of them.
