The Anime series “Sailor Moon” portrays the story of a young schoolgirl named Usagi Tsukina and a black magic cat called Luna whose magical brooch gives Usagi a supernatural power to call out her alter ego from inside of her, transforming her into a super-soldier “Sailor Moon”.
And like any other Sailor soldier, it’s her life’s duty to fight the evil forces of darkness that are trying to destroy the earth and eventually the whole solar system. In this fight against evil forces, Usagi needs to recruit and gather as many sailor soldiers as she can if she wants to keep those foes from invading and wreaking havoc on their peaceful planet.
All the sailor soldiers transform into different celestial bodies depending on their alter ego just like Usagi who represents the moon. But that’s not merely a coincidence as they realize that they died during the war on Moon kingdom and have been brought back to life to save the earth this time.
However, the first thing they need to do is to find the legendary artifact “silver crystal” and the celestial princess which could help them decide the fate of the whole universe and eventually save it from all-out destruction.
In the first arc, they fight against the Dark Kingdom led by their Queen named Beryl who alongside the four kings of Heaven is here to find the legendary artifact for her that possesses the power to unleash a vicious being called Queen Metaria. Usagi and others come to realize that she is the princess sent to the future by her mother in the ancient war that destroyed the Moon Kingdom by none other than the Dark Kingdom and this time they have to stop them from repeating the past.
Queen Beryl and the four kings of Heaven manage to revive Queen Metaria . Usagi and other sailor soldiers eventually kill the four kings and defeat Beryl. The fight gets intense and other soldiers have to fuse their powers together to defeat Metaria and fail. Usagi manages to get her hands on the Legendary silver crystal and uses it to defeat Metaria and finally brings back the other sailor soldiers to life.
